Michigan says its seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for September won't be released as scheduled because of the partial federal government shutdown.
The report was due out Wednesday. The state Department of Technology, Management and Budget says it was unable to obtain needed information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics required to calculate estimates of employment, unemployment and payroll jobs.
The Michigan jobless rate in August was 9 percent.
The state says it will continue to check on when it can resume the process of issuing reports on regularly scheduled labor market information.
