ROCHESTER, Mich. – The "Big, Bright Light Show" needs help.
Due to budget cuts, some areas of downtown Rochester won't get lights this holiday season unless a civic fundraising effort makes up the difference.
"The side streets along Main probably won't get any lights, and that really hurts business," said Kristi Trevarrow, executive director of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority.
The Rochester DDA has launched a Kickstarter campaign to restore the lights called Miracle on Fourth Street.
"We need to raise about $19,000 dollars by Friday," said Trevarrow.
The holiday lights in downtown Rochester turn on Monday, Dec. 2.
