Diane Hathaway says she may be in prison with people she sentenced

DETROIT – Diane Hathaway says she is scared for her safety in prison and is asking the court to let her out early.

The former Michigan Supreme Court Justice says she is afraid because it is possible she sentenced inmates in her prison facility.

Hathaway wants to be able to spend the last 6 months of her sentence doing at-home detention or she wants to be released early.

This past May, she was sentenced to 1 year in prison for bank fraud.
