Exclusive interview in Grosse Pointe Park mother's murder

In an exclusive interview, Jane Bashara's mother and sister spoke out for the first time since the Grosse Pointe Park woman was killed.

"Nothing in life for me will ever be the same, or any of my family," said Jane's mother Lorraine Engelbrecht.

Engelbrecht is devastated and desperate to learn who's responsible for killing her daughter.

"Not to know who did it, or why she was where she was. This couldn't happen to her," said Engelbrecht.

Engelbrecht and Jane's sister broke their silence Saturday night as they deal with the shock of knowing Jane was murdered.

"I keep seeing my sister's beautiful face flash across the TV screen. I know its important because it will help find out who did this to her, but this is just shattering," said sister Janet Gottsleben.

According to Bashara's family, Jane was a loving mother and wife and a successful businesswoman who put her family first. They also said she was well known and liked in the Pointes. Police said Bashara''s husband Bob is a person of interest in the case. He's taken a polygraph and, according to police, is cooperating with detectives. He told police his wife left a work meeting Tuesday afternoon and she stopped at home afterward, but when he got home she wasn't there.

The next morning her body was discovered in the back of her Mercedes SUV in Detroit. According to Jane's sister, this wasn't a random crime. She also commented on Bob being the focus of the investigation.

"For my niece and nephews sake, I hope to God Bob didn't have anything to do with it. But I'll tell you one thing; I want to know what happened to my sister," said Gottsleben.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Jane's funeral is set for Tuesday morning.
