Governor Snyder to sign breastfeeding act into law

Law designed to help protect breastfeeding mothers

Governor Rick Snyder is expected to sign a bill into law Tuesday afternoon to protect breastfeeding mothers.

SB 674, known as the Breastfeeding Anti-Discrimination Act, gives a woman the right to breastfeed her baby in public places.

The act is designed to normalize breastfeeding and give mothers protection when providing human milk for their infants.

The signing will take place 3:30pm Tuesday in Lansing at the State Capital Building.
