High winds uproot trees in Unadilla Township

Uprooted trees block traffic on Dexter Trail west of M-36 after high winds move through area

UNADILLA TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Unadilla Township Fire Department says at least 10 trees went down Monday on Dexter Trail west of M-36 after high winds swept through the area.

No injuries have been reported. There is no damage to structures in the area. The Fire Department and National Weather Service says wind speed reached about 60 miles per hour.

The trees, which have been uprooted, are blocking both lanes on Dexter Trail. The road will remain closed until further notice.
