Human remains discovered in Romulus

Resident discovers human remains while jogging

ROMULUS, Mich. – The Romulus Police Department is investigating human remains that were discovered by a resident while she was out jogging with her dog.

Police received the call Sunday evening about the remains in the area of Tyler Road near Hannan Road.

The caller was out jogging with her dog a little before 6 p.m.  when she made the discovery of what appeared to be a human skull and some bones.

Police also found some male clothing on and around the remains that were taken as evidence.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office will attempt to make an identification.
