CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Chesterfield Township police are asking for the public’s help to find the driver who hit a bicyclist early Friday morning on Gratiot Avenue.
Police said the victim, 55-year-old Gregory Murphy of New Haven, was found at about 12:20 a.m. on the shoulder of Gratiot Avenue just north of Carriage Way Drive.

His heavily damaged bike was still in the roadway, police said.
Murphy is in critical but stable condition at McLaren Macomb Hospital.
Police are asking anyone who saw him being hit to call the Chesterfield Township police at 586-949-2322.
