YPSILANTI, Mich. - A man was arrested in Ypsilanti Township on Tuesday after deputies responded to a report of a home break-in around 1:00 a.m. on the 7000 block of Wellington.

Deputies were initially unable to find the suspect, but upon surveying the area, located him fleeing on a bike, apparently having been scared off by the homeowner, who yelled. After being detained, he was identified as a suspect who had broken into numerous cars in the area, had stolen multiple items, and had used a garage door opener from one of the cars to gain entrance to the house.

Deputies were able to return stolen items to the victims after determining where they came from. The suspect, a 21-year-old Ypsilanti resident, will be arraigned on Wednesday.
