Roseville man turns himself in to Oakland County

TROY, Mich. – Stephen Frank Fischer, a 65-year-old Roseville resident, turned himself into the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit on Tuesday.

On Oct. 23, 2013, a multiple vehicle fatal crash occurred on Rochester Road just north of Hamlin Road in Rochester Hills. The victim was Hailey Marie Brouillet, a 20-year-old from Troy.

The case was presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office after a thorough investigation by the Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.

The suspect was charged today with reckless driving causing death, a felony that may result in up to 15 years in prison and reckless driving causing serious impairment of a body function, a felony that may result in up to 5 years in prison.

Fischer was booked on the charges at the Oakland County Jail and was brought to the 52-3 District Court for arraignment.

Fischer was released on a $50,000 personal bond with a no driving as a condition of his bond.

A pre-exam conference is scheduled on Tuesday, April 22nd at 10 a.m.
