Victim shot in leg during robbery in parking lot outside TGI Friday's

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Southfield police say there were shots fired Friday outside the T.G.I. Friday's restaurant on Evergreen Road just south of Interstate 696.

Local 4 has learned there was a robbery in the restaurant parking lot. Shots were fired during the robbery. The 23-year-old victim, a Detroit man, was shot in the leg.

Four people have been arrested in connection to this shooting.

The southbound Lodge Freeway at 8 Mile Road had been closed temporarily while police searched for evidence linked to the shooting. Police have recovered items stolen from the victim.

Police have not recovered the gun used in the robbery.

The freeway was reopened Friday night.


Police searched the southbound Lodge Freeway between 7 and 8 Mile roads but did not find a gun.
