More than foot of snow expected in northern Michigan

Late spring storm brings heavy snow to northern Michigan

DETROIT - Forecasters throughout northern Michigan are predicting as much as 18 inches of snow falling by the end of the weekend.

High winds in the Grand Rapids area caused trees and utility poles to fall. In Cadillac, right up through Traverse City, there is already a few inches of snow falling.

Here in the Detroit area we're looking at more rain but we could see some sunshine on Friday and Sunday.
