HAMBURG TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A high-speed police chase which began in Hamburg Township ended in a crash Wednesday in Dexter.
A Hamburg Township police officer chased the speeding motorcycle until it crashed at East Ridge and Park Ridge drives. The motorcycle hit another police car.

Police say the motorcycle reached speeds of more than 115 miles per hour.
The officer suffered minor injuries to his arms from the crash and airbag deployment. The motorcyclist refused medical treatment.
The motorcycle driver, a 21-year-old Hamburg Township man, was arrested, jailed and is awaiting charges. Police expect him to be charged with fleeing and eluding police.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department is investigating the chase.
