NORTHVILLE, Mich. - Another case of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) has been confirmed at Northville Public Schools.
The school district is reporting that it was notified Monday about a student in the Northville High School athletic program who has the infection. The student's parent notified the district after getting confirmation from the student's physician.
The parent said the wound has remained covered to minimize the risk of exposure.
This case is separate from the one reported on Aug. 30 in Northville.
The district will be cleaning the athletic areas at the high school as a precautionary measure.
