OAK PARK, Michigan – Michigan's largest dry city is considering lifting an alcohol ban that has been in affect since 1945.
On Monday night, the City Council meets and could begin moving forward on lifting the ban which would allow the city to issue tavern licenses for the sale of beer and wine.

City Council will vote Monday night on the issue, but the vote will only move the issue forward to where there will have to be two readings of a proposed ordinance to allow alcohol.
There possibly will be another public hearing which means this is at least 30 to 45 days away from being approved.
