OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. - A suspect was arraigned in Oakland County court Friday on charges that he allegedly committing a home invasion in Orion Township.

Edmund Joseph Proulx, 29, of Dryden is charged with one count of home invasion and one count of larceny of a firearm after police said he burglarized a home on July 7th and stole the homeowner's AK-47 assault rifle. 

Police said Proulx told them after he was arrested, that he sold the assault rifle to a drug dealer in Flint. 

Proulx was also wanted by the state police for felony child abuse. 

Proulx is being held in the county jail and will be back in court on July 23rd.
