TROY, Mich. – Tis the season for holiday shopping and also for holiday shoplifting.
Troy police report several arrests were made over the last few days for various degrees of retail fraud.

On Nov. 30th, police arrested a 73-year-old Madison Heights woman for stealing a sheet set from the Home Goods store on John R Road.
Police say she concealed the merchandise in an empty bag that she had carried into the store.
The woman had a previous conviction for shoplifting.
A Southfield woman was arrested for taking a shirt, a bottle of perfume and two pairs of earrings from the Kohl's on Coolidge Highway.
Police say she hid the items in a large purse before she was caught. She had two previous retail fraud convictions.
A 17-year-old man from Troy was issued a citation for stealing a hooded sweatshirt that he attempted to wear while leaving the store at the same Kohl's location on Dec. 2nt
On Dec. 1st, police arrested a 15-year-old man from Detroit for stealing a pair of jeans and a hooded sweatshirt from the Kohl's on John R Road.
The next day Troy police were back at Kohl's to arrest a 20-year-old man who stuffed four packages of pillow cases in his pants and left the store without paying for them.
When employees confronted the man he ran.
Police were able to catch-up with him and it was discovered that the Port Hope, Mich. man had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Kroger in Troy reports a man loaded up a shopping cart with numerous cases of Red Bull energy drink then walk out of the store without making any attempt to pay.
In this case the 40-year-old Clinton Township man took off running and was later arrested inside a Home Depot.
