Pittsfield Township police search for bank robbery suspect

A red dye pack exploded on the suspect who took off with cash from the Best Bank location

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Pittsfield Township Police are searching for a suspect that robbed a bank on Friday morning.

The incident happened at the Best Bank in the 3200 block of Carpenter Road around 10:30a.m.

According to police, the suspect passed a note to the teller announcing he was robbing the bank and demanded money. The teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash containing a dye pack.

The suspect then left the bank and got into his vehicle where the red dye pack exploded. Police believe the dye pack may have burned the suspect's hands.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, between 5'4" to 5'8", wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and bright white tennis shoes. He was also wearing a fake beard as a disguise. The suspect was driving an older model white vehicle.
