Police: 1 dead after car collides with motorcycle

The 33-year-old was killed when his motorcycle crashed with a Jeep in Waterford

WATERFORD, Mich. – Friends and family are mourning the loss of a 33-year-old man who was involved in a motorcycle accident in Waterford on Saturday.

The accident happened on Elizabeth Lake Road at Exmoor Road around 4 p.m. According to police, a Jeep Liberty was turning left onto Exmoor Road when it collided with the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, Daniel Deszell from White Lake, was severely injured and transferred to the hospital where he died of his injuries. The driver of the Jeep, a 31-year-old Waterford woman was not injured.

Daniel was wearing a helmet at the time and alcohol does not appear to be a factor for either driver.

The incident is still under investigation.
