Police: Body found in Huron Township is 26-year-old man

Michigan State Police identify body found in Huron Township ditch

HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Michigan State Police say the body found Tuesday night in a ditch off Will Carleton Road near Romine Road in Huron Township is 26-year-old Jesse Ryan Carr.

Carr's body was found by a driver who then called 911. The Brownstown Township man was last seen alive on March 22 when he was a passenger in a 2002 silver Ford Explorer.

The driver of the Explorer, who police say is cooperating with law enforcement, contacted people in that area to get gas for the vehicle.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy on Friday. The results of the autopsy are pending until the toxicology reports are in. The cause of death still is under investigation.
