Police: man arrested after pointing gun at truck driver on US-23 in Green Oak Township

Michigan State Police say truck driver called 911 to report other driver was pointing handgun at him on US-23 in Livingston County

GREEN OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Waterford man has been arrested after, police say, he pointed a handgun at a truck driver while they were driving north on US Highway 23 south of Interstate 96 in Green Oak Township.

Michigan State Police say the semi truck driver called 911 Tuesday evening to report the driver of a pickup truck was pointing the handgun at his passenger-side door. The truck driver said the man had his finger on the trigger.

Dispatchers kept the truck driver, of Westland, on the phone while troopers and Green Oak Township police officers tracked down the pickup. They stopped the pickup near US-23 and M-59.

The man was arrested without incident, police said.

State Police are seeking warrants for the suspect from the Livingston County Prosecutor's Office.
