TAYLOR, Mich. - It was just before closing time when two men walked into a Taylor Radio Shack. What happened next, this 19-year-old, who is now nursing a sore arm, won't forget.
"He pulled out a silver gun from his pocket and pointed it at me and said don't move," said the woman, who did not want to be named in this story.
The young woman and her coworker were ordered to the back of the store. Their arms and legs were zip tied as the thieves filled a garbage bag with iPhones and other pricey items.
"I was just lying on the floor kissing the floor, praying to God that I wasn't going to killed, shot or hurt," she said.
The crooks made a run for it. She somehow managed to pull out her cellphone. She texted her dad who called police.
"When we heard the door chime, we're like God this is it, it's either the police or the person to come finish us off. When the police kicked open the door I was glad. I was seriously in tears crying," she said.
Police believe the thieves may have also recently robbed this nearby Check 'N Go.
Investigators are also looking into a connection to similar incidents in Redford Township, Eastpointe, and a Royal Oak Township Radio Shack where cameras caught the criminals in the act.
Fortunately she wasn't seriously hurt, but the experience was painful enough.
"I will never ever set foot in that store again, not after that happened," she said.
