Security guard accused of improper conduct with 16-year-old

59-year-old guard allegedly assaulted the teen runaway at his aunt's apartment complex in Pontiac

PONTIAC, Michigan – A security guard is being held in the Oakland County jail for inappropriately touching a 16-year-old boy.

The incident allegedly happened in an apartment building where the guard worked in the 100 block of Edith Street in Pontiac.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, the teen is a runaway from the county's Children's Village detention facility.

The 16-year-old was staying in the apartment with his aunt. He told deputies when he walked into the security office around 5 a.m. Friday, the guard asked him for a hug.

The teen told detectives the "old man" tried to kiss him and touched his genitals before he pushed him away and ran from the office.

The detectives report that the 59-year-old security guard implicated himself during their interview. He is being held in the Oakland County jail pending issuance of a warrant.

The juvenile has been returned to Children's Village.
