Sister of woman killed in Monroe car crash dies day later after suffering heart attack

Sister of woman who was killed in Monroe county crash suffers deadly heart attack 1 day later

MONROE, Mich. – One day after her sister was killed in a Monroe County car crash, a woman suffered a heart attack and died.

Diana Cupp was killed when her sport utility vehicle was struck by a pickup truck which was being chased by police for reckless driving. Then, just a day later, Cupp's sister Donna Lajiness suffered a heart attack and died.

Family members say Lajiness had been ill. They cannot say her sister's tragic death contributed to her heart attack.

The family now is planning for two separate funerals.
