Westland, Mich. - Among your list of must-see holiday sights, Wayne County's Lightfest is an event not to miss this season.
Organizers tout the show as the Midwest's largest and longest holiday light event.
The festival features more than 45 giant animated holiday-themed displays and more than one million bright lights.
The show opens to the public on Thursday, Nov. 16th at 6 p.m. and is located in the city of Westland on Hines Drive and Merriman Road
The kickoff ceremony will include fireworks, music and entertainment.
Lightfest runs daily 7-10 p.m. until Dec. 31st and will be closed only on Christmas Day.
There is a $5 fee per vehicle.
December 4th, 11th and 18th are toy collection nights and the festival will accept a new and unwrapped toy in lieu of the $5 entrance fee.
