Health on Wheels brings mobile health care to Wayne County

Mobile health clinics will be around Wayne County, Detroit on Saturday

DETROIT – Wayne County is kicking off a huge initiative to get people living below the poverty line screened and into health care by launching mobile health vans.

Wayne County and the City of Detroit are bringing Health on Wheels to Neighborhoods from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday to Russell Bazaar, 1600 Clay Ave., Detroit. There will be free screenings, thanks to mobile health units from Wayne County and local health providers. Free screenings for Asthma, cancer, dental exams, HIV/AIDS, body mass index, blood pressure, stroke, geriatrics as well as free flu shots for ages six months and older.
