Redford Township Police investigating claims of stranger approaching kids

Children report being approached near 5 Mile, Telegraph

REDFORD TWP., Mich. – Two 8-year-old children told investigators in Redford Township that they were approached by a man driving a dark vehicle as they were walking home from their bus stop Thursday afternoon.

The children were in the area of 5 Miles Road and Telegraph around 4:30 p.m. when the incident allegedly happened.

The kids told police a man, driving a dark blue of black 4 door vehicle, approached them and asked if they wanted a ride him.

The children refused and ran home.

The vehicle is described as having damage in the area of the passenger doors. The male suspect is described as either a white male or light skinned black male wearing a black hat and a black coat with a yellow circle on the right upper area of the coat.
