Westland woman run over, killed by boyfriend's ex-girlfriend

Westland mother dies at hospital after boyfriend's former girlfriend runs her over with car

WESTLAND, Mich. – Amanda Hall's friends describe her as a loving mother with four young children. A memorial continues to grow on the street where the 25-year-old Westland woman was killed.

Police say Hall was walking Thursday afternoon near her aunt's home on Manistee Street when her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend mowed her down with a vehicle. The woman then sped off.

"Amanda flipped underneath the car and the wheels got her, and she just spun off and kept going," said Amanda's friend Amy Combs.

Hall later died at a hospital. Police tracked down the driver two hours later in Livingston County. She's a 23-year-old woman from Inkster who now is in jail until she is formally charged.

Meanwhile, the young mother's family is overcome with grief while they make funeral arrangements.

"She took my daughter's life and I want her (life) taken away from her," said Mary Bickham, Hall's mother.
