Milford police searching for donation jar thief

Suspect stole 'Children's Miracle Network' donation jar from gas station

MILFORD, Mich. – Who could do such a thing? Milford police are asking for your help in finding the person responsible for stealing a donation jar benefiting the Children's Miracle Network from a Speedway gas station.

The clerk at the station at 105 S. Milford Road said the jar was swiped from the check-out counter just after 7pm on Friday, Nov. 1st.

This is the second incident within the past week in which a donation jar benefiting the Children's Miracle Network was stolen from area Speedway gas stations. On October 27, 2013 a report was filed with the Livingston County Sheriff's Office regarding a similar incident.

Video surveillance footage from both thefts has been reviewed and the suspect appears to be the same in both cases. The suspect is believed to be a white male in his 30's, approximately 5'10 – 5'11" and around 175lbs. During the Milford incident he was wearing a black three quarter length leather jacket over a thinner white jacket, blue jeans, a gray stocking hat, and brown shoes. No vehicle description is available at this time.
