Missing 24-year-old disappeared from his birthday celebration last Saturday

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Southfield Police still have lots of questions after a 24-year-old disappeared from his birthday celebration and was later found dead in a nearby lot.

Leonard Graham of Wixom was celebrating his 24th birthday last Saturday night at the Village Green on Franklin Apartments in Southfield.

That was the last time he was seen alive.

Wixom Police launched a missing person investigation a couple of days later. The investigation led them back to Southfield on Thursday night to the same apartment complex.

Southfield police searched one apartment and they found a crime scene.

"They checked the area and did locate a deceased individual in a nearby wooded lot on the property," said Lt. Nick Loussia with the Southfield Police Department

The person had been shot in the head.

Police arrested a 20-year-old man from Detroit Friday morning in connection to Graham's death.

Now police are trying to figure out a motive.

"We believe that individual and the victim are acquaintances and have associated together," said Loussia.

Police say their investigation is on-going.
