Metro Detroit weather forecast: Up to an inch of snow expected Sunday

DETROIT – Sunday will be cloudy and chilly with bursts of afternoon and evening snow. Highs will be in the mid and upper 30s.

Snow accumulations will be up to an inch on many porches and grassy areas. Roads will be wet and slick with slipperier conditions on ramps, bridges, overpasses and sidewalks.

Monday and Tuesday will be brighter with partly sunny skies. A more southerly wind will push daytime temps to the middle and upper 40s.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday become much colder with scattered snow showers. Temps will be in the low 20s at night and in the morning and barely around freezing (in the low 30s) during the afternoon.
