More officers to patrol I-75 to reduce dangerous driving

Police to crack down on dangerous drivers

DETROIT – If you drive on I-75 this weekend, you may notice that there are more police officers patrolling the highway. This is because of the "I-75 Challenge" campaign that starts Friday and runs through Sunday.

Officers from Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida are hoping to reduce the number of crashes on the busy highway. They will patrol I-75 and focus on drivers that are speeding, driving impaired, or not wearing seat belts.
