New mud obstacles include confetti cannons, zip lines

NEW BOSTON, Mich. – More than 2,000 people are expected to partake Saturday in MuckFest MS Detroit, event organizers said.

No special training is required to participate in the mud and obstacle 5K.

The event will feature new mud obstacles, including a rope bridge with confetti canons, zip lines and stunt bag leap over a mud hill and pit.

Event organizers said 100 percent of the money raised by MuckFest MS runners goes to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

MuckFest MS event participants have so far raised more than $20 million for the National MS Society and its local chapters throughout the country, organizers said.

Saturday's event will take place at Willow Metropark, which is just south of the Detroit Metropolitan Airport, at 23200 South Huron Road in New Boston.
