More than 50 cats removed from Livonia home

Neighbors say homeowner is hospitalized, can't care for animals anymore

LIVONIA, Mich. - The Michigan Humane Society and Animal Control were removing more than 50 cats from a home in Livonia on Thursday.

Local 4 was there as rescues in protective gear brought the cats out in cages.

Neighbors told Local 4 the homeowner is hospitalized with health issues and unable to care for the animals.
