Mother with twins carjacked at Detroit gas station

Mother, her children are OK; Detroit police have 2 people in custody

DETROIT – A Detroit mother was at a gas station early Friday morning on the city's west side with her twin children when she was carjacked. 

She and her twins were able to get away safely. She originally told police a third child was in the stolen vehicle, but it was later discovered the child was with grandparents.

Police found the stolen vehicle along with a weapon, and have taken two people into custody. They are currently looking for a third suspect.
