Ryan Mannes was playing “Pokemon Go” on Friday evening at the intersection of 11 Mile Road and Demerick Street when he was hit. Police said he and some friends were using their cellphones to play the game; witnesses said the motorcycle ran him over after he ran into the street.

Soucie and his passenger were thrown off the bike. Police later arrested the driver and said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.14, nearly twice the legal limit. A bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety or 10 percent.

Even though police said Ryan was in the street at night, police believe the driver is at fault.

Friends describe Ryan as a happy kid. He played shortstop on the baseball team at Roseville High School.

Ryan's friend, Halley Raford, couldn't believe her friend died like this.

"We got really close and he was one of my good friends," Halley said.
