Grinch lights Christmas float on fire with cigarette butt

Passing driver throws cigarette butt onto Whoville house

A Christmas float designed after a classic Dr. Seuss story caught fire on the side of the road because of a passing driver.

The float was designed to look like a Whoville house from Dr. Seuss's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." It was being towed to a parade in Alabama when someone from a passing car tossed a cigarette butt out the window onto the float.

The float caught fire on the side of the road. It's unclear if the person who threw the cigarette butt is aware of what happened to the float.

You can see a video of the burning float above.

The extent of the damage to the Whoville-themed creation is unclear.
