Navy veteran shot, killed during argument on Detroit's west side

DETROIT – A Navy veteran was killed Wednesday night during an argument that began with words and ended with bullets.

The shooting happened in front of children near the corner of W. Alexandrine and Wabash streets.

The 45-year-old veteran was pronounced dead at the hospital.

It is unclear what the argument was about.

Police believe after the shooting, a man got into a car and went northbound towards Grand River Avenue.
