New Center One building in Detroit safe following bomb threat

Building houses several businesses, including preschool

DETROIT – The New Center One building in Detroit was briefly evacuated Wednesday because of a bomb threat.

The building, which is at 3031 W. Grand Boulevard, was evacuated just after 11 a.m. after the threat was phoned in, police said.

People were allowed back in just before 2 p.m .

The building houses several businesses including Childtime Preschool, offices for Henry Ford Hospital and a women's health clinic.
