Bank robbery suspect shot in Pleasant Ridge neighborhood

Man robs Chase Bank in Huntington Woods on Woodward at 11 Mile robbed early Monday

HUNTINGTON WOODS, Mich. – In a statement police say a bank robbery suspect was shot and has what appears to be non life threatening injuries. 

The robbery happened around 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Chase Bank branch in the 26000 block of Woodward Avenue.

The bank robbery suspect fled by driving southbound on Woodward. He pulled over about two blocks down from where the bank robbery happened and jumped out of his car.

The suspect then ran into a Pleasant Ridge subdivision. He was confronted by police officers on the lawn of a home. Police shot the suspect who was undergoing surgery at a Royal Oak hospital.
