BERKLEY, Mich. -

Berkley police say two 12-year-old girls were approached Friday by a man posing as a police officer in a park near the community center.

Police said the girls told them the man had confronted them about trying to light bushes on fire and demanded they empty their pockets.

The man “inappropriately” touched one of the girls before leaving, police said.

Description of man who approached girls

A white man between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, 220 pounds, short dark hair and a “five o’clock shadow.” He was wearing a yellow shirt, khaki shorts and a walkie-talkie type device.
