At 5:15 Wednesday morning, police were called to the Walled Lake Villas apartment complex. Police discovered two women, the 29-year-old and a 24-year-old near the apartment’s entrance along Pontiac Trail. Both women were suffering from what appeared to be stabbing type injuries.

A 17-year-old girl was also located. She was questioned by police and later released. It took investigators several hours to finally determine that the 29 year old woman was not a victim of a double stabbing, but rather, police believe she is the stabbing suspect and police say she will be charged today.

Walled Lake Police chief Paul Shakinas tells Local 4 this morning that his department will ask Oakland County prosecutors for an attempted murder charge against the woman. He says the cutting incident took place during a wild fight over a man.
The 24-year-old woman remains at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills.
