Detroit homicide investigators seek leads, identity for woman in 40s found shot to death

Detroit police are asking for the public's help in finding out who shot an unidentified woman to death on the city's east side.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Eren Stephens says the woman's body was found outside about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Stephens says the woman appears to have been in her 40s and had gunshot wounds.

So far, the sergeant says circumstances of the killing are unknown. She says detectives are asking anyone with information about the woman or her killing to call 313-596-2260.
