DETROIT -

It's a Craigslist ad that's grabbing a lot of attention: World Series tickets for a house in Detroit.

Sounds like a simple trade, right?

The neighbors living near the home say not so fast.

"I've been here since March and this house has been abandoned since I have been here," said Tamika Thurmone, who lives near the home on Greenview Avenue on the city's west side.

The Craigslist ad shows a crisp white paint job, well-kept landscaping and even a nice porch and awning. However, the house is not anything like the ad describes.

Thurmone said she doesn't know anyone who would give up Detroit Tigers World Series tickets for such a house.

The front door is gone. Windows are smashed and shattered. The nice awning shown on Craigslist is actually just hanging on by a thread. On the inside, it gets worse.

However, the property owner has stood by his ad. He told WRIF radio Thursday morning that his house only needs little fixing up.

"It's got a roof. It's got windows. It's got a garage. It's got four walls," the owner told the radio station.

He said it has running water, heat, air conditioning and toilets.

Local 4 tried to contact the property owner but the line kept hanging up.
