A 20-year-old mother says a group of men shot at her home early Thursday morning, causing bullets to rip through the walls of her baby’s room.
In a report, the Oakland County Sherrif’s Office said officers found 9mm shell casings outside the home in the 600 block of Lancaster. Deputies used a K-9 to track the area, which lead them to the Newman Lane Apartments, but no arrests were made.
The office said the woman told them the gunfire started at about 3:30 a.m. and she saw four men away from the front of her home.
The baby was not inside the bedroom at the time of the shooting, the office said.
