Husband arrested for wife's death in Pittsfield Township

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

A 44-year-old Pittsfield Township man sits behind bars Saturday after being arrested in connection to his wife's murder.

The man was taken into custody Friday afternoon when Pittsfield Police went to a home on the 4700 block of Hickory Pointe Boulevard for a welfare check. That's where police found his wife, 53-year-old Katherine Porter, dead inside.

The husband is being housed at Washtenaw County Jail and is awaiting charges.

The incident is still under investigation.
