DETROIT – A 20-year-old man is recovering Sunday night after being shot at the corner of Conner and Gratiot on Detroit's east side.
A witness tells Local 4 that the victim accidentally stepped on a man's shoe in a crowded bus. He apologized but the man wouldn't accept.

The two men then stepped off the bus and the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the leg.
"When the bus driver opened the door, he shot the guy and ran off...'cause he stepped on his shoe. How crazy can this world be," says Jerry Oneil, who witnessed the shooting.
The suspect was last seen going down Conner to Wilshire. Anyone with information on the suspect is encouraged to call police.
Local 4 was told the victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
