Man, woman from Lapeer arrested for theft, possession of heroin while with 2-year-old son

Police: Pair had outstanding warrants, being investigated for home invasion

Police say a 21-year-old Lapeer woman and a 22-year-old Lapeer man were arrested on several charges that included, receiving stolen property and possession of heroin.

The couple's vehicle was stopped by police who were investigating a larceny in Troy.

Police say Bruce Thomas Caldwell II and Carolynne Jeanette Caldwell both had outstanding warrants.

When officers searched the vehicle they found heroin, syringes, and stolen property.

The man and woman also had their 2-year-old son with them in the car.

The pair was arrested and police say they are now being investigated for a home invasion that occurred in Troy during the summer.
