Abreeya Brown, Ashley Conaway found dead in shallow grave after they went missing in February

DETROIT – A preliminary hearing for five men charged in connection with the kidnapping and murders of two women in Hamtramck was delayed Thursday.

Brandon Cain, Brian Lee, Miguel Rodriguez, Reginald Brown and Jeremy Brown are charged with first-degree murder, torture and unlawful imprisonment.

They're accused of being involved in the deaths of friends and roommates Abreeya Brown and Ashley Conaway.

Brown's father said he exchanged gunfire with men as they kidnapped the girls Feb. 28 from his Hamtramck home.

Their bodies were found March 25 in shallow graves in Detroit.
