Service is Saturday for 2nd Westland teen; mother speaks out for 1st time

18-year-old Jacob Kudla found shot to death in Detroit

DETROIT – A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday for a Westland teenager who was found shot dead in Detroit.

Jacob Kudla, 18, and his 17-year-old friend, Jourdan Bobbish, were found shot to death July 27 in an abandoned Detroit lot.

Family, friends and members of the community gathered Friday for Bobbish's memorial service at Ward Presbyterian Church in Northville.

On Saturday, family and friends will gather again to say goodbye to Kudla. The public service will begin at 11 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Livonia.

Kudla and Bobbish had been missing for nearly a week after visiting Kudla's uncle at his home on the east side of Detroit.

Memory arm bands were handed out prior to the funeral
